Fiduciary Programs and Platforms (FPP) – Senior Communications Specialist

The Business Team:

Fiduciary Programs and Platforms (FPP) is the dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking team responsible for the management and development of Bank of America’s industry-leading fiduciary business, including the Merrill Lynch Investment Advisory Program (IAP) and Merrill Lynch One platform.  IAP comprises over $1.2+ trillion in client assets across 700k households.  It is core to the firm’s wealth management growth strategy and supports the needs of all client segments and advisors across the company. 

The Role: 

The Senior Communications Specialist will play an active and important role within the FPP Business Enablement team.  The successful candidate will be central to developing an integrated communications strategy that will consistently deliver engaging content messaging that carries the appropriate tone on a wide variety of topics to multiple audiences.  The individual will partner with other communications, marketing, and line-of-business teammates while leading the contemplation, drafting, internal socialization and deployment of all fiduciary and IAP-related communications. These include program and platform “tech stack” enhancements, policy evolution, product innovation, strategy updates and regulatory matters.  He/she will also be expected to influence and enhance our team’s ongoing dialogue around innovation, advisor and client experience  and current communications and digital trends that effect our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with line-of-business leaders, marketing and control functions to draft, refine and deploy key program and platform updates to relevant constituencies
  • Work across the broader FPP, Investment Products and Wealth Management teams to evolve and improve product and initiative marketing, communication and field training efforts
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization, including digital marketing, client experience, sales management and the Chief Investment Office (CIO), to achieve broader FPP business goals
  • Lead efforts to create and maintain strategy-specific marketing and custom collateral for senior financial advisors who manage discretionary portfolios within the Investment Advisory Program

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience and expertise with business writing, investment strategy marketing and communications; wealth management industry experience strongly preferred
  • Current FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required (within 120 days)
  • Familiar with portfolio management, investment research, asset allocation and performance measurement topics
  • Proactive self-starter with exceptional work ethic, energy and bias for action
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation and strong follow-through
  • Intellectually and relentlessly curious
  • Excellent problem solving skills; demonstrates creativity in approaching a problem and a strong ability to “think on their feet”
  • Understanding of current and evolving financial services communications strategies and practices, both traditional and digital, and the strong desire to stay on the cutting edge

Jersey City pay range:

$98,500 - $160,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
