Client Quantitative Analyst I - Consumer AML

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

The Client Quantitative Analyst will be an advanced analytics resource supporting Consumer’s BSA/AML compliance program.

  • Associate will be responsible for developing end-to-end knowledge of AML processes related to identification, adjudication, and Enhanced Due Diligence for Consumer high-risk client types.

  • Associate will support ongoing monitoring of these processes, and as appropriate, develop recommendations for optimization.

  • Associate will represent these programs in data deliverables for audit and regulatory audiences.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Delivers the analytical work efforts on a project by project basis at the direction of a manager or team lead; usually with defined scope within a specific line of business or business discipline (card, call center, digital, etc.). Delivers individually or with the help of peers and others insightful data to be used in driving complex business decisions or processes. Communicates with managers to understand business problems to be analyzed and deliver the appropriate summary and data required. Ability to use data tools and techniques to find and deliver data from various sources of record. Bachelors Degree in finance, math/statistics, or computer science.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or related role

  • Strong proficiency in SAS, SQL, Toad, Alteryx, and/or Tableau

  • Experience extracting and merging data from different relational database environments, including Hadoop

  • Ability to manipulate data from structured and unstructured sources

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to interact and influence across all levels of the organization

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to document complex processes to improve business continuity, and maintain audit and regulatory credibility

  • Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Finance, Engineering, or Statistics

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Masters in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Finance, Engineering, or Statistics

  • Proficiency in Python or R

  • Knowledge of financial and banking products, policies, operations, and applicable procedures

  • Experience supporting highly regulated initiatives in a large, complex financial institution
