Consumer Product Strategy Analyst II/III

Job Description:

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.

The Strategy Decision Engine (SDE) Development team is under Credit Assistance - Operations Enablement. This team is 
responsible for developing strategy campaigns to support collections and recovery efforts for US Consumer Card, Consumer 
Lending, Small Business, Deposit, Consumer Vehicle Lending, and Home Loan products. 

The SDE Programmer is directly responsible for designing, developing, debugging, testing, and integrating campaigns or 
modifying existing rules within our SAS Marketing Automation decision engine platform.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Working with Collections Strategy change owners to review business requirements and providing a sizing estimate for the 
requested change
• Partner with line of business, data management team, and technology partners to define data and functional requirements 
necessary for campaign implementation
• Participate in project calls across multiple line of businesses that impact our Strategy Decision Engine platform
• Partner with our Quality Assurance and Control teams for functional and UAT testing for SDE changes
• Work with our Project Management teams to provide accurate and timely updates on coding progress
• Support our Platform Management team to migrate campaigns to production
• Assist with triaging production issues impacting our Strategy Decision Engine
• Provide project status updates to our executive leadership team

Roles will be filled at the Analyst II or III level based on selected candidates experience.

Required Skills:

  • The candidate must be an intermediate to advanced level programmer in SAS and SQL. SAS certification is a plus.

  • Experience with SQL Server, Teradata, and Hadoop data sources and knowledge of data source structures/models.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical.  Must have exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills.

  • Possesses a fundamental degree of knowledge of data sources, business products, operational processes, and understands how data is utilized for production segmentation processes.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience with any SAS decision engine products: SAS Marketing Automation (CI Studio), SAS Viya, SAS Engage Direct, SAS Intelligent Decision Engine, SAS Information map or comparable decision engines

  • Previous experience working within the Bank of America data infrastructure (BACARDI, The W, SQL Server, etc.)

  • Previous Collections experience
