
Job Description:
Participate in vendor engagement routines for Consumer & Small Business Credit Strategies and Portfolio Management. Liaison between Enterprise Vendor Managers (EVMs) and line of business (LOB) for evaluating new vendors, products and capabilities that support credit strategies; includes requests for information (RFIs), requests for pricing (RFPs), proofs of concept (POCs), statements of work (SOWs), contract negotiations, data permissibility, etc. Maintain relationships with vendors, manage contracts (new, changes, renewals, etc.), data transmission support, vendor on-boarding, and new product exploration.
Position will require partnerships across functions and LOBs; finance, technology, data governance, procurement, business enablement, credit strategies, etc. Associate will be expected to learn the vendor onboarding process and basics of contract management; attend product reviews and build out database tracking of vendors and vendor projects; support vendor engagement managers with deliverables: decks, meetings, communications, etc.
A successful candidate will possess:
1) Ability to acclimate quickly in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing deliverables
2) The team engages with both internal and external partners (to business and bank) to achieve goals thus requiring very strong communication and networking skills
3) Ability to navigate multiple areas of focus on a "Jack of all trades" team that maintains a broad scope
4) Ability to manage deliverables and prioritize work to maximize output
5) Competencies that include but are not limited to: strategic thinking, analytical ability, transition skills, influence & communication, and personal & peer development
Required Skills:
2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and a wide array of business partners
Proficiency with the entire MS Office product suite
Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability
Desired Skills:
Direct experience with vendor management, contracts and/or pricing negotiations
Project or process management experience in large scale environments
Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight
Ability to operate in a matrixed environment with varying levels of tenure and business knowledge
Bachelor degree in related field (operations, business, finance, etc.) and/or 2-5+ years of relevant work experience are desired.
