Global Markets Risk Manager - Climate Risk
Role Responsibilities In Role:
Partner with key stakeholders across risk to coordinate, execute and control overall strategy, on-time delivery and attain sustainable outcomes
Work with Regional teams, PMO, Regulatory relations on gap analyses for new requirements and remediation plans and prepare reporting, climate risk materials / responses for Regulators and local management/boards
Lead execution of the work with timely and effective outcomes against regulatory and firm expectations
Plan, direct and coordinate components of the day-to-day activities of running the program
Ensure various working groups and one-on-one contacts with stakeholders are effectively organized, including maintaining appropriate records of key decisions, follow ups and risks to support delivery against the key milestones in the program schedule
Maintain appropriate project governance, plan execution, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and program sponsors
Own various program organizational activities such as leading meetings, producing high-quality dashboards & program reporting, risk and issue monitoring and governance co-ordination
Escalate program risks, issues and decisions when appropriate
Provide and coordinate climate risk subject matter expertise to drive delivery
Translate enterprise climate risk initiatives into regional and local initiatives in coordination with local leaders
Coordinate with regional business and risk leadership to establish regional climate risk management oversight
In coordination with regulatory relations team, assist regional leaders with local climate risk regulatory inquiries • Oversee and monitor the compliance with critical deadlines by providing input on remediation efforts, challenging the status quo and collaborating with the teams to push through to completing key action steps
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field
Strong project management skills
Experience with risk management and regulatory communications highly valued
Ability to engage and influence, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and provide thought leadership to strategic decisions
Proven ability to lead initiatives front to back and drive varied teams to implement programs effectively and efficiently
Superior written, verbal, presentation creation and delivery skills
Demonstrated ability to juggle and execute a high volume of competing priorities within strict deadlines including flexing and re-adjusting as priorities shift
Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail
Enthusiasm for climate risk and highly motivated to take on new and challenging tasks in dynamic environment • Learns quickly to absorb and understand new information
Previous experience with standing up a new function or cross enterprise programs and initiatives highly valued
Execution-oriented and results-focused self-starter able to work independently
