Job Title: GMO Global Risk Regulatory Supervision, LRR & Policy Specialist

Role Description:

Creation of the LRR inventory across processes for Global Market Operations in partnership with Divisional Risk Leads, Partner with Global Compliance & Operational Risk to drive change in existing programs to support evolving needs of organizations, Regulatory change oversight including LRR impact assessments, Updates to the central Policy tracker across divisions, Provide guidance, support and develop associates, Communication, coordination & tracking of all regulatory changes impacting Global Market Operations in partnership with Global Compliance & Operational Risk, Partner with GMO Governance & Divisional Risk teams to align LRRs to the GMO operational processes and controls (SPI) under the leadership of the LRR mapping initiative, Partner with Registrations and Licensing to ensure Regulatory Supervision Governance routines are well controlled and employees are appropriately licensed/aligned to covered functions/Job Codes. Support ongoing covered persons requirements/requests for company specific alignment changes.

The Team:

The GMO Global Risk Regulatory Supervision, LRR and Policy Specialist sits within the Global Market Operations Risk Function providing oversight of the Regulatory Supervision, Maintenance & Change Portfolio for Global Markets Operations.  This role will institute and maintain strong routines in support of the Core Operations functions for Global Market Operations. This position is highly visible and requires frequent interaction with Senior Management and stakeholders.

Core Skills:

  • Previous experience within a risk and control environment would be an advantage.
  • Broad exposure to processes across Global Market Operations with particular emphasis on the regulatory requirements across global jurisdictions. Understanding of the Enterprise Process Management Policy an advantage but not essential.
  • Proven experience in drafting communications and presentation materials intended for senior audiences is essential. Strong organizational, planning, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent Project Management Skills. Self-starter with the ability to influence, build trusted relationships, deal constructively with conflict, problem solve / troubleshoot issues for themselves and others, and adapt to a fast-paced environment involving multiple and simultaneous deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk framework, enterprise policies, procedures, and standards preferred.
  • Given the nature of the role, the ability to display flexibility given unpredictability of requests and ability to prioritise accordingly.
