Underwriting Automation Analyst

Job Description:

You will join a team leading underwriting automation initiatives. We leverage internal and external data sources to drive underwriting automation capabilities. We also lead the Optical Character Recognition, (OCR) center of excellence which seeks to extract data from documents uploaded to our document repository. Our primary focus is on income and assets, but will expand as automation capabilities progress.

Responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing policies, procedures, & data to determine automation capabilities
• Reviewing documents to identify data extraction opportunities
• Assist in developing business requirements
• Develop rule requirements for use of data
• Participate in project routines
• Monitor and Audit data to derive performance metrics
• Develop solutions that sync automation capabilities with manual processes

The ideal candidate will have significant Bank of America Home Loans underwriting experience with thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, & iFulfill. This person must be able to work independently as the team is spread across multiple time zones.
