Role Description:

  • Involvement throughout the software development lifecycle and will include development of major strategic solutions in Quartz and other platforms
  • Producing consistent, consolidated risk reports spanning the whole FICC business
  • Developing and running high-performance applications to calculate Risk and PNL at End of Day and Intraday
  • Own specific components in the Risk horizontal framework and manage end to end deliverables
  • Prototype improvement ideas
    • Support the Quartz user community
    • Internal discussion forums, technical sharing sessions

The Team:

Welcome to the EMEA Linear Rates Risk team. We are a team based across 3 regions of London, Dublin and Mumbai but all focused on supporting the EMEA Linear Rates front office desks in London and Paris. We work on a blend of initiative projects covering some of Global Markets biggest programs of work as well as business and market driven changes and supporting the smooth running of the systems day to day in partnership with our support team.

The Dublin team consists of 11 people currently (looking to expand further) and we work closely with our teams in London and Mumbai. We also work closely with other Front office Risk teams in the wider Global Markets technology team as well as with traders, trade support, middle office, risk managers and finance.

We provide all new joiners with a comprehensive training plan which is a mixture of online resources, support from colleagues, training sessions and hands on learning that will help grow your skill set further and gain domain knowledge.

Some of our highlights over the last few years have been building a new valuation control framework, working with Quantative Services Group to develop an Excel based query tool for strategic data sources and IBOR transition to risk free rates.  We also rolled out OnDemand pricing for multiple lobs using the new Quatz Risk Engine framework.

Core Skills:

  • Extensive experience of Python development skills
  • Extensive experience with OOO programming
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices
  • Experience with large enterprise systems (preferably in financial services) with numerous clients and complex workflows
  • Global Markets experience - Knowledge of Rates markets and products
  • Ability to liaise and work with remote teams
  • Knowledge and experience of SDLC and Agile process
  • Excellent communication skills and works well in collaborative environments
