Global Markets Operations Reconciliation Manager

Line of Business Role Description
Position will manage the Americas Reconciliation Team within Global Operations Shared Ops. Functions include but are not limited to: oversight and approval of reconciliations and month end balance sheet attestation, managing tactical and strategic projects focused on improving the reconciliation space, implementing controls to reduce risk across the recon utility, and overall support of the operating model.


Key Responsibilities:
• Manager of people and processes.
• Continuous engagement and support of many Securities Operations processes and flows.
• Participate in Recon Centralization to migrate reconciliations within Global Banking and Markets Operations to the reconciliation utility.
• Represent the Americas reconciliation team in communications with internal and external audit partners and the ownership of SOX key controls.
• Lead continuous improvement across the Americas reconciliation space including but not limited to:
        • Initiatives involving artificial intelligence/machine learning to automate processes and implement predictive analysis for root cause of exceptions.
        • Development and implementation of metrics related to reconciliation health and optimization.
        • Deep dive analysis of reconciliation functions and overall process to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
        • Operational Excellence initiatives related to the implementation of workflow and reconciliation tools aimed at streamlining daily recon production and break management workflows.


Required Skills
• Intermediate or Advanced-level Excel experience.
• Experience with reconciliation systems/design.
• Presentable, confident and client focused.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
• Demonstrated experience liaising with and influencing all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.
• Self-motivated and inquisitive. Successful candidate will be able to manage own time, prioritize to meet tight deadlines and know when to escalate.
• Strong focus on attention to detail.
• Proven process improvement experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks.
• Demonstrated ability/willingness to continuously learn on the job.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
