Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will assume primary coverage of Southeast Asia telecom stocks for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
  • The analyst will also assist the senior ASEAN Internet Analyst on internet coverage.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors and companies
  • Interact with and respond to requests from clients and sales force
  • Independently generate investment ideas, curate an investment thesis and compose high quality research reports.
  • Develop and maintain sector and company models
  • Undertake in-depth industry analysis and financial modeling
  • This role will be based in Singapore.

Requirements

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in equities research or closely related discipline.
  • A strong educational background in finance, with a minimum Bachelor Degree (or engineering background plus CFA/CA)
  • Important to this role is an inquiring nature and ability to think logically whilst expressing your views both clearly and in an engaging manner.  
  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality, evidence-based projects or reports
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Bahasa language and/ or telecom industry experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to generate new ideas and possibilities, and to see business opportunities from a novel perspective.
  • Flexibility: The capacity to adapt approach in light of shifting priorities or changing conditions
  • Team Orientation and collaboration: The willingness to work as a member of a regional team
