Role Description: 

Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) Compliance & Operational Risk is looking for a transaction reporting specialist to join their London based team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the Compliance & Operational Risk Management Program in the second line oversight of transaction reporting, including regulations such as MiFID, EMIR and SFTR. 

Activities will include (but not limited to): 
•    Developing testing activities covering transaction reporting controls;
•    Conducting independent monitoring and targeted assessments/deep dive reviews;
•    Providing independent review & challenge of the Front Line Unit’s implementation of transaction reporting;
•    Working with Learning and Development and other relevant stakeholders on transaction reporting training;
•    Undertaking periodic review and updates of the firm’s policies relating to transaction reporting;
•    Effective assessment of new transaction reporting legislation and interpretation of changes ensuring effective implementation with bank reporting systems;
•    Working with line of business on new initiatives including regulatory change implementation, and representing Compliance and Operational Risk on working / steering group forums

The successful candidate will also be expected to provide general second-line oversight of Global Markets Operations.

The Team:

The team is responsible for the second-line Compliance & Operational Risk coverage for the Global Technology and Operations organisation across the EMEA region. The team operates in a technically complex, fast-changing and dynamic environment with an excellent culture of growth, learning and development. Core Skills:

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•    Strong technical knowledge of UK and EU transaction reporting requirements, particularly MiFID, EMIR and SFTR
•    Logical thinker/problem solver who is able to analyse complex regulations and apply them to the bank’s trading scenarios.
•    Ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
•    Ability to take decisions when required and to escalate when necessary 
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a pressurised environment, with constantly changing priorities and tight deadlines
•    High attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
•    Good knowledge of Global Markets products
