Business Advantage Inline Review Approval Officer I

Job Description:

Provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB/ECF. Reviews Small Business unsecured line of credit and term loan lending decisions through call listening and other review processes to ensure established guidelines are followed, then tracks identified errors, escalates issues and proactively identifies trends. Candidate must have a passion for driving process improvement with a focus on client experience and is able to manage time effectively while working in a dynamic and changing environment.

  • Possesses superior communication skills to effectively collaborate with peers to prepare and present Quality Assurance results regularly to line of business leadership and business partners
  • Provides associate coaching at an individual and team level
  • Requires completion of additional control functions which may include but is not limited to review, analysis and presentation of enterprise compliance results with Compliance and LOB partners
  • Strong analytical capability to drive root cause analysis and demonstrates attention to detail
  • Works well as part of a team or independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results

Required Skills:

  • Small Business underwriting experience
  • Familiarity with personal and business tax returns and financial statements
  • Ability to perform and evaluate cash flow analysis
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment supporting business as usual routines
  • Strong ability to influence and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results
  • Proficient with PC applications including Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of TSYS, ICDP, FileNet

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of FLU systems including TSYS, ICDP, ILT, and CreditLens
  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree desired
  • 2 to 5 years of Small Business credit experience
