Senior Financial Analyst – Finance Business Support (GTO Finance – Technology FRAC)

Job Description:

The Technology FRAC team (Forecasting, Reporting and Analytics) is part of Global Technology & Operations Finance.  The primary focus of the team is to provide strong financial support for the day-to-day finance activities of a business unit.  Business partners include BFOs, as well as LOB Technology managers. Key priorities are P&L planning, forecasting and month-end analysis / reporting for the Technology organization. Throughout the tenure of this role the teammate will gain exposure within the Finance organization while improving/developing the following skills: financial/business acumen, attention to detail, analytical and strategic thinking, planning and forecasting, leadership, communication, and relationship management.  High level of exposure to strategic investment decisions driving the future technology landscape of the firm.

Key responsibilities and competencies:

Responsible for business unit forecast and month-end processes

Analyze costs and understand business drivers and levers to influence efficiencies

Partner with peers and management to implement process & reporting improvements

Strong organization skills and ability to manage/sequence multiple deliverables

Strong written and oral communications skills with excellent attention to detail

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for more complex finance activities involving implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a business unit or associate area. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. Can manage partner relationships.

Required Skills:

  • BS/BA (Finance/Accounting Preferred)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with emphasis on strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, and filtering) and PowerPoint

Desired Skills:

  • Self-starter able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Related industry experience and strong financial reporting background

  • Experience with accruals, large data sets, and advanced financial tools

  • Well organized and strong attention to detail

  • Seeks to build relationships and collaborate with teammates

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand complex business challenges and potential solutions

  • SAP / eLedger / Essbase
