Data Product Manager

Job Description:

The GTS Data and AI Team drives innovation within one of the largest commercial payment businesses in the world.  At its core, the Team is a collection of curious and driven data scientists, data engineers, and product managers that welcome challenging problems. 

Our Team often operates in a think tank setting, brainstorming and pinpointing opportunities alongside other business teams to create traceable value through data. We deepen our understanding of client behavior primarily from transaction-level payments across multiple rails (ACH, wires, FX, among others) and account dynamics (including balances and payment terms). The Team meticulously balances long term and short-term projects, resulting in constant delivery of production level solutions at scale.  Each member of the Team holds themselves accountable and is driven by an insatiable curiosity.  The Data Product Manager will be a part of a growing team of product managers focused on developing new data-driven products for clients and the various GTS product lines. The Data Product Manager will be responsible for driving product development, adoption, and expansions for one or more products.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a vision for the product – Including user research with clients and internal business partners to define the client problems/opportunities the product is solving.

  •  Be a subject matter expert in all aspects of your products. This includes deep understanding of the technical aspects of each product and the underlying data used.

  • Product adoption. Work with sales and other client/product teams to promote client engagement via webinars, conferences, and demonstrations. Create and track product adoption metrics.

  •  Define and prioritize product requirements

  • Develop and maintain multi-year product strategy and roadmap

  •  End-to-end testing of products to identify bugs and ensure new product functionality is working as expected

  •  Partner with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, UI/UX Designers, App Developers, product owners and clients in development of solution

  • Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including Technology, Sales, Client Education, Finance and Legal

  • Develop supporting product materials for sales, clients, and other business partners

  •  Manage New Product Approval Process

  •  Partner with Commercialization and Marketing on product commercialization and strategy
