VP/Director, Business Support Manager - Commodities

Job Description:

Seeking a driven, self-motivated individual to join the FICC COO team supporting Global Commodities. The ideal candidate for this role must have experience working in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to multi-task and perform with a high level of efficiency. This individual will partner closely with the Front Line Unit (“FLU”), COOs and other support functions (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance, Operations, Legal, etc.) to assist various areas within the Global Commodities Sales & Trading business and its control environment. The team is looking for a candidate with strong analytical abilities, strong markets knowledge, adept knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent time management skills.

Global Commodities specializes in agriculture products, base and precious metals, coal and other energy-related commodities, commodity indices, crude and refined products, ESG, North American natural gas and power, renewables and structured notes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Global Commodities COO on various initiatives
  • Deliver on key business initiatives
  • Help to coordinate the design, development and approval of new products
  • Identify, assess and mitigate business risks
  • Help to increase efficiency and best practices across Global Commodities Sales & Trading
  • Manage various business management routines, including business forums, support to HR processes, business continuity planning and market data management
  • Help to solve daily issues related to controls, risk limits, regulatory requirements, technology, among others
  • Produce various ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed by Global Commodities senior management
  • Expense management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of financial services experience
  • Preferred candidates will have a background in one or more of the following areas: Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Finance
  • Strong knowledge of Global Banking or Global Markets lines of business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Proven experience in a role that is self-directed
  • Proven ability to manage timelines and display sound judgment to escalate issues as needed
  • Critical thinker, energetic and intellectually curious
