Global Corporate Banking Analyst / Associate Role

The Global Corporate Banking (CBK) COO team works on behalf of senior management to create strategic analysis and reporting as related to: client planning and profitability, capital allocation, coverage effectiveness, competitor benchmarking, market and product penetration, and banker performance.  Additionally, the team is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives as well as supporting the corporate bankers.  The team operates globally across all regions, and partners with regional COOs on strategic initiatives.

Role Overview

As an active team member in the CBK COO organization, the Business Analyst/Associate supports the COO team as well as the CBK bankers with data analysis, business planning, as well as financial reporting. Business Analysts/Associates are called upon to:

  • Develop and generate performance reports focused on raising business and team performance using Excel, PowerPoint and other business intelligence reporting tools to help the group leaders more effectively manage their businesses
  • Assist in creating business presentations on strategy, business performance, planning initiatives and other materials for internal and external audiences
  • Monitor and maintain targets for business and individual banker performance  
  • Communicate and interact with team members across business manager functions, finance, wholesale credit, operations and technology
  • Assist with a variety of ad hoc assignments, typically with time constraints and quick turnarounds
  • Business administration duties related to a number of different industry teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; financial background preferred
  • 2+ years in financial, operations, or general business support experience in Global Banking & Markets
  • Ability to successfully manage several critical projects at once under tight deadlines and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Proficiency of software applications, primarily Excel and PowerPoint; VBA/macro and Tableau skills are a plus
  • Superior written and oral communications skills
  • Exhibit initiative, pro-activeness, assertiveness, attention to detail, ability to learn new skills and grasp concepts quickly, strong work ethic and positive attitude
