Role Description

Analyst or Associate level role as a junior Asia High Yield Credit Trader and a member of the APAC Credit Flow trading team. This role will be based in Hong Kong. The junior trader candidate will work alongside senior traders to help drive BofA’s Asia credit trading franchise. Responsibilities include:

  • Support senior HY trader in market making efforts by providing accurate and timely pricing;

  • Coordinate with desk analysts to generate trade ideas and monitor relevant headlines;

  • Back up other traders and work with U.S.-based overnight trader to facilitate flows;

  • Help improve trading desk infrastructure and leverage in-house technology;

  • Work closely with sales and research team to broaden and deepen client relationships.

  • The Asia Credit Trading desk operates in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore and is primarily responsible for making markets in Asia G3 currency corporate debt products, including investment grade bonds, high yield bonds, emerging market sovereign bonds, and credit derivatives.

  • Genuine interest and curiosity about the credit markets and trading

  • Self-motivated and fast learner

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced team environment and ability to perform under pressure

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. English fluency required, mandarin skills highly desired

  • Bachelor’s degree, with track record of dedication and excellence

  • Knowledge of fixed income market, especially credit market a plus
