VP/Associate- Data Analytics, Global Corporate Banking COO

Job Description:

The Global Corporate Banking (CBK) COO team works on behalf of senior management to create strategic analysis and reporting as related to: client planning and profitability, capital allocation, coverage effectiveness, competitor benchmarking, market and product penetration, and banker performance.  Additionally, the team is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives as well as supporting the corporate bankers.  The team operates globally across all regions, and partners with regional COOs on strategic initiatives.

Role Overview:

  • Role is analytically intensive, and the ability to manipulate and understand large data sets in facile, nimble fashion is critical

  • Need to have the ability to interpret broad themes and strategies, and to present such themes and findings in thoughtful, easy to digest material

  • Liaise with regional CBK COOs on analytical asks, data needs, and strategic initiatives to support CBK senior management

Core competencies expected of candidates:

  • Advanced analytical competency and creative aptitude

  • Technical proficiency in manipulating large sets of client and financial data in conjunction with the ability to understand and interpret that data

  • Prepare analysis in an easy-to-digest format that is also aesthetically pleasing

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to present and discuss analysis with senior management

  • Ability to successfully manage several critical projects at once under tight deadlines and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team

  • Ability to establish partnerships across the organization and build effective work groups, requiring strong influencing and negotiating skills

  • Exhibit initiative, pro-activeness, assertiveness, attention to detail, interest and ability to learn new skills and grasp concepts quickly, strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Proficiency of software applications, primarily Excel and PowerPoint; VBA/macro and Tableau skills are a plus

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
