Commercial Credit Underwriter I/II

Job Description:

Our Las Vegas/Scottsdale Underwriter positions are responsible for the underwriting, structuring and monitoring of credit transactions for Middle Market companies.  The Underwriter works in lockstep with a Credit Officer who has overall responsibility for the credit relationship. The Underwriter coordinates the internal credit approval process and is an active participant in internal and external conversations concerning the credit and the client.  External conversations include calling on clients together with the Credit Officer.  Monitoring responsibilities consist of developing and sustaining an accurate risk view of the Underwriter’s assigned portfolio, which includes reviewing client level financial analysis prepared by a centralized group as well as directly completing financial and industry analysis of large and highly complex credit relationships in the Underwriter’s portfolio.

 

Middle Market companies are defined as commercial businesses with $50 million to $2 Billion in annual revenue.  The Las Vegas/Phoenix Underwriter positions cover commercial businesses located in Nevada, Arizona and Utah as well as casino gaming clients nationally.  The positions report to the Pacific Southwest Commercial Credit Executive and can reside in Las Vegas or Scottsdale, depending on applicant preference.

 

 

Required Skills:

3+ years of commercial credit underwriting and monitoring experience.

Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.

BS/BA degree preferred.

 

Can be filled at an Underwriter 1 or 2 level, depending on qualifications.

$76,500 - $108,000 annualized salary, offers to be negotiated based on experience, education and skill set.
