Loan IQ Kanban Scrum Master II

This associate will be a member of the Wholesale Credit Loan Accounting Technology Team within Global Banking Technology.  The individual should be a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to influence, build trusted relationships across the organization, deal constructively with conflict, and adapt to a fast-paced environment involving multiple and simultaneous issues.  This position will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the L3 BAU support teams for the Loan IQ Commercial Lending System.  These Kanban teams address production issues related to internal custom development as well as vendor fixes. 

Description:

Responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Kanban teams. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team, providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team.

  • Manage team’s Kanban board and work with Product Owner and Line of business to juggle current production priorities
  • Administrate the bank requirements for change management for production updates
  • Manage a global team with members in a few USA office and multiple Offshore locations
  • Coordinate issue intake from the L2 production support team
  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • In a Scaled Agile model, facilitates scaled planning for the team - e.g. Pre-Planning/ Preparation, PI Planning Events - and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/Agile Release Train meetings
  • Helps the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements.
  • Coach the teams on how to use Agile practices and Kanban frameworks.
  • Lead daily Kanban and regular program iteration planning meetings
  • Manage interdependencies between other Loan IQ agile teams.
  • Facilitate Agile maturity of the team and coach the team to higher levels.
  • Administer metrics tracking and other means to aid team in overall planning and team throughput


Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Kanban principles and concepts
  • Extensive experience working with production system in Financial Services
  • Significant experience Guiding and coaching teams on Kanban practices and developing their understanding of Agile principles.
  • Experience facilitating ceremonies for a Kanban Team
  • Experience using the Scaled Agile model, facilitates scaled planning for the team-e.g. Preplanning/ Preparation, Program Iteration Planning Events -and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/ Agile Release Train meetings
  • Experience Facilitating dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team.
  • Experience Providing visibility into the Agile team’s delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders.
  • Experience Measuring team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviews the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners effectively
  • Experience with managing a global team
  • Experience with electronic Kanban board (Jira is highly preferred)

Desired Skills:

  • Scrum Master Certification (Ex: PSM-I or PSM-II or CSM) is preferred
  • Prior experience managing a BAU team supporting production financial service software
