Director- Regulatory Strategy and Implementation Team, Procedures Director, Global Corporate and Investment Banking COO Team

Job Description:

The Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) Regulatory Strategy and Implementation team is responsible for overseeing the regulatory change pipeline, performing regulatory change impact assessments, initiating/directing regulatory implementation programs, and facilitating ongoing adherence to laws, rules, and regulations (LRRs) and internal Policies and Standards.  In this capacity, the candidate will partner closely with representatives from all GCIB product areas and with numerous support partners including Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations.  The successful candidate will be responsible for creation and maintenance of the GCIB Procedure catalog and will possess strong analytical skills and detail orientation, the ability to build consensus across distributed stakeholder groups, and demonstrated experience initiating and driving programs.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of GCIB Procedure catalog

  • Assess need for incremental Procedures relative to applicable Policies and Standards and the GCIB Single Process Inventory

  • Establish routines to review changes to applicable Policies and Standards and the GCIB Single Process Inventory and execute corresponding updates to GCIB Procedures

  • Coordinate across GCIB product areas to ensure consistent approaches to internal Policies and Standards

Competencies and Requirements

  • 10+ years of exposure to financial markets/products, preferably with exposure to Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, or Treasury Services

  • Takes initiative and demonstrates a focused desire to understand responsibilities and drive/implement improvements

  • Strategic thinker and execution minded

  • Strong detail orientation supported by ability to take a structured approach to achieve long term objectives and build sustainable routines 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with poise to communicate with senior leaders

  • Ability to positively influence others, regardless of seniority, in order to achieve results

  • Able to adapt to changing business/regulatory environments

  • Excellent time management skills and able to manage multiple competing/concurrent activities

  • Must be able to work well in collaborative team environment, but also independently
