Director/Vice President, Strategy and Technology Initiatives, GCIB COO

Job Description:

The Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) COO team supports Strategy and Technology Initiatives for GCIB. In this capacity, the candidate will engage with partners across our GCIB teams, with other Bank of America LOBs and with Technology and control partners including Risk, Legal and Compliance.  Responsibilities include managing technology needs and access requirements across GCIB, planning and implementing the digital future of systems connectivity across key GCIB applications, and strategizing how technology tools can be better used for efficiency and to enable bankers to be more effective.  The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and detail orientation, strong familiarity with Information Security best practices, ability to lead data transformation projects and the ability to partner across stakeholder groups, with demonstrated experience in business initiative programs.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategizing, collaborating on, monitoring and tracking of key technology initiatives for GCIB

  • Coordination across GCIB lines of business, including regional considerations

  • Work with technology team and other control partners on implementation of initiatives

  • Produce business analysis for GCIB COO and Senior Management

Competencies and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 3-5 years of exposure to financial markets/products

  • An understanding of Global Corporate and Investment Banking products, services and processes

  • Self-motivated and results oriented with strong desire to succeed

  • Shows initiative and reacts quickly to changes in priorities

  • Strong IT and data transformation skills (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) and the ability to develop ad hoc solutions

  • Professional approach with a clear and logical thought process and attention to detail

  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the poise to communicate with senior leaders

  • Ability to run complex tasks and deploy collaborative and analytical approaches

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve complex tasks involving multiple team members and take ownership for delivery

  • Excellent time management skills and able to manage multiple competing/concurrent activities

  • Must be able to deliver results with limited direction and supervision

  • Must be able to work well in collaborative team environment, but also independently
