Software Engineer II- .NET Application Developer

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced .NET Application Developer, who will maintain applications within Claim Technology at Bank of America. Will work closely with the Business Analyst to understand the system requirements and translate them into low-level design and implement the application code as per the standard coding pattern and guidelines. The candidate is also required to unit test their code and package the code for deployment to higher lanes all up to the Production environment. The candidate will be responsible to work with quality assurance and product certification teams to provide support and fixes identified  during the lifecycle of application testing and certification

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years of relevant IT software development work experience (SDLC lifecycle) in the industry.

  • Must have work experience in .NET development.

  • Work experience in Frameworks - ASP.NET, REST, SOAP webservices

  • Basic Knowledge of XML Schema and Processing Technologies (XSD, XSLT, etc)

  • At least 2 of the following: IIS/Apache/Tomcat/JBOSS

  • Basic knowledge of source code management Git, Bitbucket, Team Foundation Server and others

  • Knowledge of build tools and processes like Maven, Ant and others

  • Working knowledge of build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Ansible Tower and others

  • IDE – Visual Studio, Eclipse

  • Strong database background on SQL Server including Stored Procedures

  • Programming in the Windows environment

  • Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to acquire business domain knowledge quickly and effectively

  • Deep understanding of the software development and support process

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills

  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, innovative, capable of, providing technical solutions.

  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure.

  • Prior banking/finance experience of working with globally distributed teams

  • Able to contribute to Automation, System Analysis and Develop shared/common solutions

  • Able to identify risks and mitigation

  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment

  • Exhibit a strong sense of teamwork and inclusiveness.
