Analyst/Associate – Investable Index Trader

Business Overview

The Investable Index team, a focus product line for the firm, is seeking a NYC based trader. The team’s strategies incorporate new technology, big data, and quantitative research. Partnering with Structuring and Sales, the trader will focus on the creation and risk management of our equity derivatives and exotic instruments including the design of innovative, rules-based indices. Every successful strategy requires liquidity, transparency, and innovation. Expertise is needed in the product to engage with clients primarily Pensions & Endowments, Insurance Companies and Annuity Investors which cover many of the firm’s largest institutional relationships.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Derivative experience
  • Aptitude in Programming / Data Science
  • Creative in Problem Solving / Idea Generation
  • Excellent Partnership and Communication Skills
  • Experience developing systematic hedging strategies
  • Experience in Risk Trading
  • Extreme Attention to Detail
  • Familiarity with Exotic Payouts
  • Knowledge of BAML Trading systems a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
  • Strong Mathematical background
  • Strong Quantitative Background
  • Strong understanding of market structure and execution costs
  • Technology Skills / Strong desire and ability to drive efficiencies across the Business
  • Works well across Business Lines
