FX OPERATIONS ANALYST

FDCO Overview

The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

Job Requisition

An exciting opportunity to join the GFX Operations Platinum and Gold Client Service Team. The role entails analysis and ownership of a wide variety of FX operational processes in a challenging and fast paced environment. Manage sustained high proficiency of complete, accurate and timely processes, responsibility for the investigation and resolution of exceptions to the confirmation and settlement of Foreign Exchange transactions. Communication by phone and email is required while providing exceptional customer service to both client and internal service partners. This role provides exposure and the learning opportunity to front to back business aspects such as; Trading/Sales, Technology, OCRM, Client Onboarding and Credit and more.

Responsibilities

Involvement in supporting the organization's overall strategies and how the business operates. Contribution in the development of business intelligence to support performance analysis and process enhancement to deliver a sustainable design model. 

Requirements

• 4+ years experience working in a financial institution in an Operations environment supporting FX or other institutionally traded financial products.
• An effective and clear communicator across various levels within the organization with an ability to influence positive outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload through fluctuating volume periods; ability to multi task whilst managing competing priorities and deliveries.
• Self-motivated individual who demonstrates and encourages collaboration within and beyond his/her team.
• Excellent attention to detail and minimal history of errors. Holds self and others accountable for high performance standards.
• Logical approach to problem solving; a hunger for process improvement and intellectual curiosity.
• Experience in collaborating with a varied group of stakeholders to understand and develop business needs.
• Continuous learner with commitment to drive innovation within the team to support the firms top tier clients.
