Communications Manager II

Charlotte, North Carolina;

Job Description:

Seeking corporate communication professional to drive communication planning, across internal and external strategies, messaging and audiences.  Candidate will be responsible for driving communication strategy, content, programs, projects and execution; including but not limited to; leadership messaging, organizational announcements, employee communication, employee engagement and overall business messaging to drive business brand and performance.   Communications may be in the form of electronic, print, face to face, or video.  Also responsible for program design, production and distribution.  Collaborate with colleagues, including media relations, marketing, social, global events, video & broadcasting and key business partners.

Responsibilities may include:

  •          Develop and execute communication plans aligned to bank’s vision, values and priorities to deliver on stated company and business goals and priorities; write, edit and manage messaging and outreach; distribute communications to targeted and business-wide audiences
  •          Manage targeted and business executive communications across various channels including emails, articles, podcasts, videos
  •          Delivery consistent company-wide messaging across the businesses supported
  •          Write talking points to drive messages consistency across the company
  •          Partner with colleagues and agencies to maximize opportunities, manage issues and drive priority programs while creating engaging content
  •          Contribute to our strategic messaging platforms, company-level program and project, senior leader presentation, major company reports and other key initiatives.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

  •          Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related discipline, plus 8-10 yrs. of experience in communications, project management or equivalent related education, knowledge and years of experience
  •          Proven track record in ability to plan communication that drive reputation, engagement and behavior of clients, employees, community members and investors.
  •          Message development, writing and editing skills
  •          Strong verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex topics in conversational, easy-to-understand  ways.
  •          Experienced client and relationship management

  •          Strong project management skills, ability to manage an initiative end-to-end  
  •          Team player, that is resilient,  that  thrives in a deadline oriented environment while working with other seamlessly
  •          Must have strong critical thinking, and the ability to execute communications through different distribution channels.
