Traded Products - Data Manager

Job Description:

Treasury Data Management (TDM) is looking for a seasoned Data Management SME to join our Traded Products Capital Team within TDM. Areas of focus will be supporting a mix of the following:

  • Research & Analysis – supporting Capital products as well as, understanding the overall flow and usage of information from upstream sources and consolidation points used for capital modeling, calculation and reporting processes

  • Subject Matter Expertise - learning and understanding how regulations, policy interpretation, product mix, transformations and risk drivers impact capital reporting processes

  • Operational Excellence – improving Treasury Data Management functions for production, data governance, data change and regulatory/audit activities

  • Data Controls - ensuring process controls, data validation activities, DQ scripts and measurement processes remain timely and relevant

  • Data Remediation - meeting SLA timelines for Data Incident analysis, Defect or Enhancement classification, Action Plan creation and Target Date delivery for Monthly Data Governance Process compliance, Remediation Execution & Validation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 5-10 years Banking and related Data Management related experience.

  • Strong business acumen; ability to simplify complex technical subjects and quantitative analysis

  • Continuously self-develop, apply strong work ethic and exemplify the core values of the company.

  • Ability to self-direct and self-prioritize tasks/accountabilities as needed.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate influence across with multiple teams.

  • Ability to apply expert judgment and understand the context of Capital data related issues and know how and when to escalate/communicate data issues as they occur.

  • Strong Data Analysis & Reporting skills using Toad/SQL and MS Excel.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Prior experience working in Capital Management space and readily understand the important role that data management plays in support of the Capital function within Treasury.

  • Proficient working with large databases, experience with data mining.

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding Data Management, Data Governance and Data Architecture functions.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong Project Management/Business Analysis knowledge and familiarity with Agile Methodology concepts.

  • Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people.

  • Proficiency with Python, and SQL programming languages.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Build relationships and work closely with Technology and Business Partners across the Bank to support Data Management adoption.

  • This role may be filled as a Data Manager or a Senior Data Analyst based on skills and experience

Ensure that the data used follows the compliance, access management and control policies of the company while meeting the data governance requirements of the business.
