Bank of America is currently recruiting for a Risk Analysis Specialist to join the Global Market Risk Analytics (GMRA) department located in Bromley. GMRA is part of the wider Global Risk Analytics (GRA) unit and is responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring Counterparty Credit Risk and Market Risk models. GMRA also develops analytical tools to support regulatory, audit, and internal risk management needs for the Global Markets line of business.

Background:


An opportunity for a Risk Analysis Specialist has arisen within the COO & Strategy team whom are responsible for the effective operations, governance and strategic planning of the book of work across GMRA. The team acts as a strategic partner and trusted adviser to GMRA leadership, coordinates all audit and regulatory interactions impacting the department, provides project management for large scale deliverables and initiatives, and drives the increased productivity across the department. 

Responsibilities:
•    Partnering with senior COO & Strategy team members to provide trusted analytical and organisational support for large-scale programs and initiatives
•    Responsible for providing assistance to the GMRA quant teams to ensure adherence to Model Development Procedures
•    Engaging with GMRA Model Performance and Data Controls teams to ensure data incidents are correctly captured and managed
•    Become a Jira/Confluence SME and look to provide assistance and guidance for all GMRA team members.
•    Responsible for undertaking preliminary investigative work on an ad-hoc basis.

Experience/Skills:
•    Minimum Bachelor level degree in a relevant subject e.g., Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, etc.
•    Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
•    Working knowledge of Jira/Confluence, Tableau and SharePoint will be highly regarded.
•    Prior experience in Finance, Risk Management or Data Reporting will be desired, but not mandatory.

Competencies:
•    Self-motivated and a willingness to assume full ownership of responsibilities.
•    Must demonstrate curiosity and a desire to learn in a demanding Investment Banking environment with high expectations.
•    Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to get to the point quickly and succinctly. 
•    Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills.
•    Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities.
