Line of Business Role Description

The GBAM Fraud Policy Team is looking for an experienced  professional to fill the role of Sr. Policy Strategist.  In this role, you will be expected to conceptualize, design and implement account issuance, transactional and digital risk strategies in support of managing both 1st and 3rd party fraud; understand and quantify risks associated with new or proposed process or procedural changes, new products or programs, or changes in business conditions; document and implement industry best practices; lead cross-functional initiatives; work with internal and external clients to understand, quantify and balance the relationship between revenue, cost and losses as well as establish communication forums with internal clients and business partners.

Reponsibilities-

• Sr. Leadership facing role in support of the end-to-end management of fraud on the Prepaid Card portfolio
• Understands and reports on loss performance and drivers
• Responsible for developing comprehensive policy controls to manage risk, compliance, regulatory obligations and customer experience 
• Works closely with vendors to understand systems and solutions used in support of fraud management
• Measures and reports on performance of fraud tools used by the bank today
• Explores opportunities for new solutions where gaps are identified, managing the life cycle of any Proof of Concept and Onboarding of new relationships and integration of services
• Provides guidance to both the Analytics and Operations management team, ensuring decisions made to address fraud mitigation are in the best interest of all
• Evaluates new product development, new client onboarding and changes to client profile/utilization of product to ensure fraud mitigation is considered and planned for
• Represents the Fraud organization in Sr. facing forums
• Mentors Band 5 Policy support staff in support of the above

Required Skills

5+ years of Fraud/Risk management experience

Proven track record of ownership of end-to-end processes & initiatives

Advanced PowerPoint & Excel skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with experience presenting to Senior Leadership

Self-motivated and possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver action results quickly

Ability to engage across lines of business and with senior level executives

Experience with design and implementation of new processes and/or products

Experience with developing policy and/or technology requirements for initiatives

An understanding of Prepaid/Debit card processes

Experience working with SAS/SQL

Commitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change

Participates in and drives collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology and ways of working to better serve an evolving fraud landscape

Prior Leadership roles a plus
