Job Title: Quality Analyst

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

Location: Dublin

Role Description:

  • Responsible for testing and delivering software to accomplish business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is tested to meet all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Responsible for working with the business partner teams on the delivery of the Capital and other Regulatory Reporting projects, primarily associated with COREP, Statistical, Finrep and Anacredit.
  • Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint, per story acceptance criteria.
  • Participates in test case reviews and makes necessary updates.
  • Builds and uses test data required to accomplish execution of test cases.
  • Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results.
  • Reports issues and defects along with appropriate background information for review. 
  • Collaborates with developers on reproducing, detailing, and documenting reported defects.
  • Uses testing tools and follows processes required to complete testing work.
  • Traces tests to requirements for the given scope.
  • This role will require liaison across various areas of the bank (Finance, Middle Office, Operations and Treasury etc.)
  • Support business partners during User Acceptance Testing phases
  • Partnering with Project / QA manager to ensure that governance policy is adhered to across the portfolio in accordance with stated test standards and processes
  • Ensure ongoing communication of project governance to all stakeholders

The Team:

The team provides global technology solutions for core finance functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, client profitability, corporate tax, planning/forecasting, funds transfer pricing, and regulatory reporting. The team and its business partners are located throughout the world.

The Software Engineer will join the Finance Technology team, based in Dublin with a proven track record working on large scale multi-year enterprise technology programs/projects. This position is for an experienced software engineer with a strong ability to build business-critical systems with a keen eye on stability and performance.

You will be working on delivering a strategic technology platform which has an exciting roadmap of future enhancements.

Core Skills:

  • Extensive experience in the field of Information Technology with emphasis on Software Testing, Quality Assurance of Web/Windows based applications using Manual and Automated Testing techniques. Strong UI, DB and Business Process Management testing.
  • Extensive experience of mandatory regulatory implementations within a Tier 1 Investment Bank
  • High level understanding of financial products and key asset classes such as Debt, Equity, Commodity etc.
  • Strong Data Analysis capabilities, with experience in reviewing BRDs and Technical Specifications.
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data via strong MS Excel proficiency (pivots, data comparison etc.) with SQL desirable
  • Experience in Data Validation through backend testing
  • Experience in creating test scenarios and functional testing
  • Defect management experience using JIRA
  • Strong verbal communication skills; applicable for managing up and down the technology chain, as well as working with business partners from multiple disciplines with differing priorities across multiple, global locations
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • In depth knowledge delivering within both a Waterfall and Agile development environment

  • Ability to positively drive work forward, collaborate with team members, and act with transparency
  • Extensive experience in a service oriented organization to meet the requirements of multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate within the global environment operating from multiple locations and time zones
