Communications Manager II

Job Description:

This Communications Manager II role will provide communications strategy, content development and program management for the Communications, Content and Governance team within the Corporate Communications organization.

This position will have the opportunity to lead work to create engaging content for employees and senior leaders in support of company priorities, programs and announcement. This includes for Bank of America’s company-wide and business-specific communication initiatives, lead priority programs and projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans to help drive business and team objectives
  • Create engaging and strategic messaging, including leader messaging, articles, interviews,  and other written and visual pieces
  • Deliver consistent company-wide messaging and talking points to drive message consistency across the company
  • Manage targeted and company-wide executive and team member communications for various channels, including briefings, articles, podcasts and videos
  • Partner with colleagues and external agencies to drive priority programs and create engaging content.
  • Contribute to our strategic messaging platforms, company-level programs and projects, senior leader presentations, major company reports and other key initiatives

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in communications, publishing, or public relations agency 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex topics in conversational, easy-to-understand ways
  • Deep expertise creating compelling employee-focused editorial features, including articles, interviews, and other special interest pieces
  • Exceptional project management and planning skills with strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across multiple teams / partners
  • Proven ability to direct cross-functional teams in day-to-day execution

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Internal communications and program management experience
  • Employee-focused writing and copyediting experience
  • Strong PowerPoint and other design skills, including ability to develop engaging executive-level presentations
  • Project management experience
