Operations Project Consultant - AML Operations Transformation

Job Description:

Consumer AML Operations (CAML Ops) is responsible for monitoring customer information, detecting high risk customers for enhanced due diligence and reporting on cash transactions to ensure compliance with applicable BSA/AML laws and regulations.  
Within CAML Ops, the Transformation & Initiatives team (T&I) is responsible for executing on strategic priorities, process improvements and initiative leadership to ensure operations are prepared for change.

This role will:

• Lead small to large line of business initiatives/efforts impacting multiple areas while applying internal line of business governance standards.  Includes end to management and execution to ensure all impacts, risks, issues, and the like are addressed. 
• Support and provide subject matter expertise to enterprise project team for medium to large enterprise projects impacting multiple areas while applying internal line of business governance and enterprise change standards.
• Assess processes, identify, and design areas for improvement and implement change to increase efficiency, simplify and standardize processes and reduce risk.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for various functions within line of business who routinely works with line of business management and partners regarding process improvements, risk management, BAU changes, policy impacts, applicable laws/regulations, strategy implementation, business process management, issues (SIAI, CIAI, AIAI), internal audits, external exams, staffing/capacity planning, ad hoc requests, testing and the like.
• Consult with line of business management and key business partners to identify, assess and address operational and other key impacts resulting from projects, other change efforts and day to day operations.

Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Five or more years of project management and process design experience
• Proven self-starter with ability to analyze situations, think critically and independently and deliver with purpose and speed in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented and task/time focused 
• Proven ability to adapt to change while shifting focus seamlessly
• Proven ability to effectively influence and negotiate with others to deliver results
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
• Proven ability to identify and address risks.
• Proven ability to quickly address issues and break down barriers and roadblocks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate vertically and horizontally in a clear, concise and influential way
• Strong leader with demonstrated executive presence
• Must exhibit strong facilitation and collaboration skills within and outside direct team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of Consumer products and Anti-Money laundering monitoring and detection operations
• Project Management Certification
