Process Overview*

Global Wholesale Banking Technology (GWBT) comprises of technology for Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Customers of Bank of America across the globe.  The team works closely with the business and strategic partners to architect, design and develop applications for the Global Wholesale Banking Line of Business.

Job Description*

The Scrum Master champions the needs of the team to the organization and champions the needs of the organization to the team. The Scrum Master is the team's facilitator, shepherding the team as a servant-leader by creating a positive and safe environment, improving team cohesion, being creative and focused, asking questions that focus the team on their processes and norms, and helping the Product Owner and the team to develop the product backlog. The Scrum Master communicates status on behalf of the team, bringing issues and impediments to the team, Product Owner, or management, and helping to develop the product backlog. The Scrum Master helps the team coordinate with other teams in the Program.

Responsibilities*

1.             Typically 6 - 9 or more years of systems engineering experience

2.             Act as Scrum master for 1-2 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.

3.             Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos

4.             Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed

5.             Ensure cross-team coordination

6.             Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal

7.             Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing

8.             Coach and mentor other scrum masters in our product team. Ensure that our ways of working are consistent across the teams.

9.             Liaise between the developers and User Experience/Visual Designers. Foster better communication between the disciplines.

10.           Act as a project manager when necessary. Take responsibility for managing dependencies between our team and third parties or between our team and other scrum teams.

11.           Strengthen the presence of our team as an agile center of excellence. Actively contribute to the company’s Agile and Lean Community. Keep the rest of the company network aware of our activities.
