Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Chester

A new opportunity has become available for a Vice President to join our Equities Business Finance Control Initiatives team based in the Chester office. The successful candidate will assist with the re-engineering of the current Transfer Pricing Residual Profit Split (RPS) factor table process.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to work with the North West’s only Tier 1 bank within the established Chester CFO Group.  You will be working as part of an established team in a role that can offer clear opportunities for career progression and development.  
 

Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with the Tax team & key LOB stakeholders to critically analyse where we have existing relationships across regions and points in the hierarchy (as these can’t be automated with ease)

  • Building prototypes for each LOB to automate factor calculation where possible and share details with Tax team & key LOB stakeholders comparing current versus new factors

  • Leading efforts to automate the prototype calculations in Alteryx

  • Documenting the process, especially regarding how data is sourced and structured in Tableau, as well as the calculation automation in Alteryx

  • Developing appropriate control and governance procedures, including data escalations and reviews

The Team:

You will be joining an experienced and established team of 4 associates located in EMEA (Chester and London). Stakeholders will include central project teams, Front Office, GT&O and the Equities BFC teams.

Core Skills:

  • Product Control experience

  • Attention to detail; ability to analyse data and formulate solutions for delivery of a simplified and automated process

  • Good working relationships with line of business stakeholders

  • Excellent documentations skills

  • Understanding of transfer pricing preferable, but not require

  • Experience/Knowledge of Equities Financial Markets, products and infrastructure

  • Exposure to end to end implementation projects for finance initiatives
