Technical Product Manager - Cloud, Core Technology Infrastructure

Job Description:

A Technical Product Manager helps strengthen the link between the developers of new technology and its consumers by formally championing their needs during the various stages of product development and integration.
This role has a high technical focus and will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the BofA Virtual Compute product as well as what the industry competition offers and act as a trusted advisor for the customers and the engineering teams on a day to day basis as we are building the right offerings.
  • Authoring, reviewing, and editing detailed technical requirements for development teams to execute on in JIRA, Confluence Conducting demos for customers/end users on a sprint by sprint basis to maintain constant feedback loop
  • Presenting technical aspects of the product and roadmap to customers in regular forums/advisory boards
  • Validating key feature decisions and capabilities with the customer community
  • Maintaining the technical feature roadmap for a set of products
  • Answering product questions from customers on well-known email distribution
  • Approving designs to ensure requirements can be met with proposed approach
  • Ensuring product standards are being maintained including API health, micro-service model, etc
  • Approving any functional specifications to ensure requirements can be met with specification
  • Reviewing and approving test plans from testing (QA) team to ensure adequate coverage of features, capabilities Creating and maintaining technical collateral
  • Participating in evaluation efforts on new vendor products along with the development leads in that area
  • Owning competitive analysis for a product and/or industry segment (i.e. storage) for external cloud providers and vs current offerings Functioning as an Agile Scrum Product Owner as the dev team does not currently have this function in place
  • Conducting training for customers on how to use the product for new releases and major upgrades and for internal stakeholders
Required Job Skills
  • 7-10 years of experience in Infrastructure Product Management or similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with complex and global projects
  • Very strong analytical skills

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in Compute and Storage Infrastructure
  • Experience in global large scale infrastructure deployments
  • Experience in Automation & APIs
