Position Description

Background:

We are seeking a talented and committed Technology Risk and Control Specialist to join our Global Banking Technology Chief Operating Office

The role will sit within Business Risk & Controls function, which works with Application Managers, Enterprise Control functions and COOs across the line of businesses to ensure that control gaps are identified and remediated.

This role will be responsible for management of technology issues and risks within GBT across multiple geographies in APAC.  The incumbent will be acting as key point of contact on corporate audits, internal compliance exams besides working with application teams to ensure remediation of GIS Mandates & Related ERPs and Metrics Management; NPT Tier 1 and Tier 2, P1s, P2s, P3s, ADSFs, Identity and Access Management program.

You will oversee the effective implementation of the Bank’s Risk framework and Global Technology and Operations (GT&O) governance routines and requirements, using established tools and documented procedures. This includes documentation to enable tracking, monitoring, and escalation of technology and operational risk related issues to management, and acting as an ambassador of the risk culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Non Permitted Technology (NPT) Program Manager & Project delivery team in ensuring timely and complete remediation of prioritized NPT book of work.
  • Manage the governance & reporting of Application Management tasks/deliverables, proactive escalation of any potential or past due items.
  • Coordinate and manage across GBT application groups, Risk Leads and enterprise process owners (including Global Information Security) to respond to Internal and External Audits, Exams, and Regulatory/Clearing Inquiries, Assessments and GIS Mandates
  • Lead and/or coordinate special project and program, as requested by GBT management
  • Responsible for producing monthly performance metrics and reports under organizational reporting.
  • Utilization of data analysis / visualization / self-service tools (SQL, Tableau etc.), JIRA, Confluence or automation tools to provide end-to-end process implementation & reporting
  • Assist application groups with remediating the most significant risks including Audit Issues, Self-Identified Audit Issues, Compliance Identified Audit Issues, Regulatory Issues
  • Practice and promote good risk culture and risk management within GBT, leading GBT participation in technology risk activities. Support the Identify, Escalate, Debate risk culture

Key Requirements

Self-starter with ability to work to short deadlines across multiple time zones

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in Markets technology or Institutional / Corp Investment technology experience preferred and/or "Big 4" consulting experience in Financial Services
  • Technology risk and control experience is critical. Technology Audit and/or risk experience preferred
  • Good understanding, knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Risk management and/or specific control experience
  • Qualifications :
  • Primary Degree
  • CISA, CRISC or CISM preferable
