Vice President, CCP Change Management, Program Lead

Role Description:

A unique Project Management role within the Transformation, Process, and Delivery team to drive Central Clearing Counterparty (CCP) engagement across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region as part of the Market Solutions Group. This roles sits within wider Global Market Operations (GMO) supporting the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) Lines of business providing exposure to multiple asset classes.

The successful candidate will represent the firm on behalf of GMO in external working groups and Industry discussion relating (but not limited) to new products offering, new currencies, product tenor extensions, new reporting/tooling & Industry initiatives. The candidate will have the opportunity work on vast array of derivate products across the Credit, Rates & FX asset classes, they will have get the opportunity to learn and understand the detailed working of these products, system workflow and tooling capabilities provided by external vendors, CCP & internal within BAML. This is a Front Office facing role, where the candidates will be working directly with Front Office Trading desk, Front office Business leads & Technology to evaluate the potential cost and benefit of taking on new initiatives as well as executed mandated industry changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the GMO and actively engage with industry participants as part of the APAC CCP working groups.
  • Assess & evaluate the initiatives, associated costs and benefits to organization to help with ascertain scope of work/responsibility, timeframe and creating a transparent and prioritized execution plan.
  • Lead requirements gathering and communication across Front office, Technology and operations functions to feed into technology teams engaged in the program.
  • Negotiate with tech teams for the prioritization and successful delivery of operations requirements.
  • Establish governance & reporting routines to maintain and track the health of the project and escalate risk & issues to senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to change/Enterprise standards as applicable.

Core Skills:

  • Project management experience with a successful delivery track record of large programs in the CCP, trade control Operations space and Industry space.
  • Knowledge of Trade Support/Settlements/Confirmations and related support functions, including good understanding of the end to end trade lifecycle and the associated processes within the support functions. Ideally this will include cross product exposure
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills. Provide clear, concise direction to the broader team while delivering comprehensive status to senior executives.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft  Office Application Skills
  • Self-motivated and autonomous
  • Business level proficiency in English and Japanese language is required to pef

What you will do

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include participating in and/or ownership of the following functions:
• Work with Legal, Compliance, Senior Business Sponsors and Technology teams to derive regulatory and business requirements and produce detailed technical requirements.
• Drive requirements gathering, documentation and execution related to APAC CCPs and regulators
• Work with internal parties including Business Sponsors, Legal & Compliance, Operations and Technology. 
• Represent BofAML on relevant industry forums where necessary.
• Identifying and managing project risks and issues
• Maintain and publish project documentation
• Running working groups as required
• Assisting with the implementation of large market mandatory and regulatory projects
• Documentation of business scenarios and review with business stakeholders
• Input into acceptance testing scenarios in line with testing strategy where applicable
• Participating in the continuous improvement of processes and quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Communicating, influencing and negotiating to obtain or leverage necessary resources
  • Integrating knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decision making
  • Encouraging the identification, escalation and timely mitigation of work stream and program risks
  • Performing reviews of work streams and supporting technology activities
