We have an exciting opportunity available for for a Vice President to join our Equities Business Finance Control Initiatives team as a Project Consultant. You will act as a lead for initiatives impacting the Equities BFC team including being a central contact between central project teams, Front Office, GT&O and the Equities BFC teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the North West’s only Tier 1 bank in a varied and interesting role, covering various projects and leading multiple initiatives. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders across different lines of business.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Individual contributor role leveraging the wider Equities BFC team

  • Act as lead and coordinator for multiple initiatives and projects impacting Equity BFC, including Operational Excellence 

  • Central Equities Finance contact liaising with Central Project Teams, GBAM Projects, Front Office, GT&O and the Equities BFC teams

  • Design and co-ordination testing for Equities on multiple global and cross CFO projects

  • Assist and leverage line teams in testing design, issue identification, root cause analysis and technology fixes

  • Ad Hoc analysis and deep dives into issues impacting EQ BFC

The Team:

You will be joining an experienced and established team of 4 associates located in EMEA (Chester and London). Stakeholders will include central project teams, Front Office, GT&O and the Equities BFC teams.

Core Skills:

  • Experience/Knowledge of Equities Financial Markets, products and infrastructure

  • Exposure to end to end implementation projects for finance initiatives

  • Knowledge of Financial control process, including month end GL posting and legal reporting requirements

  • The ability to analyze results and make recommendations to management and central program leads

  • Comfortable in interfacing to a cross-section of groups at various levels, including Finance, Operation, Front Office and Technology team

  • Accounting qualification (or accounting experience

  • Project qualification (or project experience)

  • Communicates with Impact: Influences decisions and outcomes through effective communications, communicates clearly and effectively

  • Inspires commitment and followership beyond immediate team. Behaves in a way that engenders trust at all levels

  • Actively participates and makes a meaningful contribution to team and initiative management meetings
