Threat Model Architect

Job Description:

The Senior Architect – Threat Modeling role is responsible for guiding the design, development, and implementation of the Threat Modeling program at Bank of America.  You will be responsible for maintaining and educating the enterprise on the threat modeling tools and advocating threat modeling as part of Secure by Design.  You will also be responsible to create and deliver threat models for special engagements.

Strong use of communications skills are required as well as being comfortable providing training and facilitating conversations with highly technical cross-functional teams. You will be a technical liaison with developers, architects, vendors, BISOs, and Senior Technology Managers.

Required Skills:
•    Strong knowledge of the Threat Modeling process ad STRIDE methodology to uncover security flaws.
•    Experience and exposure to Information Security principles, including identity and access management, cryptography, and application security. 
•    Strong communication skills.  Must feel comfortable training people and facilitating conversations with highly technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
•    Strong knowledge across the technology stack such as web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors and distributed systems architecture.
•    Ability to balance the pragmatic need to deliver while securing the architecture
•    Ability to balance the day to day tasks against the strategic program deliverables.
Working knowledge of Jira to manage engagements and tasks.

Desired Skills:
•    Experience in use of the Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool or other similar threat modeling tools
•    Experience other threat modeling methodologies
•    Experience in Security Engineering, Virtualization, and Automation

$131,000 - $170,000 annualized salary, offers to be negotiated based on experience, education and skill set.
