Consultant - Business Technology Integration (Technical Consultant)

Job Description:

Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience.

LOB Job Description:

This position supports Treasury Sales Officers, Implementation Advisors and Treasury Services Specialists with the on-boarding of new Large Corporate and Commercial clients implementing complex Treasury Services products within US and Canada.   The individual must have a broad and in-depth knowledge of the various payments, receipts and reporting services as well as data transmission protocols in order to adequately consult with clients, explain the options available to them and gather their requirements for implementing those services.   This individual will be the primary contact for all technical aspects associated with the implementation of these services and therefore must be the client advocate into those product teams. The value this individual brings to the team and to the organization is the ability to build trust and confidence with clients and ensure the bank effectively delivers an excellent client experience during these technically complex implementations.

Responsibilities:
Attend client calls and provide technical support during lifecycle of project
Timely response to client questions on project technical components
Coordination of connectivity and file format testing between client and operations
Maintenance of accurate project details and updates on project database
Liaising with other internal departments to ensure timely resolution of client concerns/issues
Submission of transmission setup requests
Provide technical materials to client on product, formats and transmission options
Provide consultative guidance to clients and internal business partners on best practices and implementation recommendations

Required Skills:
Strong knowledge Treasury Payments, Receipts and Information Reporting products with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
Strong communication skills to work with clients and internal partners to deliver clear requirements
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
Knowledge of data transmissions and connectivity such as HTTPS, FTP/SSL, SFTP, AS2, SWIFT
Knowledge of industry standard file formats such as ISO 20022 XML, NACHA, EDI
The ability to read, understand and explain a file specification and requirement documents
The ability to visually inspect a data file against its specification document to ensure accurate formatting

Desired Skills:
Client implementation experience with Treasury Products is highly desired
Prior experience managing technology projects at Bank of America.
Prior experience as a software developer, business analysis or product manager
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in a similar client facing role.
