Senior Engineer/ Architect - Payment Platform Team

Job Description:

Bank of America Technology is searching for a dynamic and innovative Senior Engineer/ Architect to join our Payment Platform Engineering team who has a demonstrated track record of leading large scale quality transformations by providing thought leadership to diverse, smart and driven engineers to achieve our vision.  This is a great opportunity for someone who has the desire to work with teams that are passionate about lean startup principles, innovation and creating amazing customer experiences. Selected candidate will be part of the Payment team and taking charge of test automation planning and design using various tools such Cypress, Selenium webdriver and JMeter.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a good understanding of the Payment Gateway services and be able to use this understanding to better the quality of testing and fault reporting.
- Actively oversee the building and maintaining of our test framework
- Work closely with the team on test planning, test case design and interaction with developers in creating solutions to improve quality of software products.
- Demonstrate experience in using coding standards and be an active participant in code reviews
- Determine appropriate methodologies and procedures for new assignments and provide guidance to other development and test engineers.
- Identify the opportunities to improve the current automation framework, script execution efficiency, recommend the solutions and implement prototypes.
- Work closely with cross functional teams in handling queries and escalations from Commerce partners and customers
- Able to mentor immediate team and resources across other teams

Your day to day tasks will include:
- Work closely with engineering and product team to analyze product requirements and carrying out test design and estimation
- Design and build our test automation framework on which the team can develop and maintain code for our world-class test automation
- Plan and perform performance tests to ensure scalability for our systems
- Explore product quality issues and triaging automated test runs
- Work closely with 1 or more development teams to support backend, infrastructure and analytics testing
- Maintain close liaison with other departments on technical matters and work closely with vendors or customers on technical information, handling escalation issues etc.
- Actively support and enforce the company's software engineering processes and standards within the group.

Required Skills/ Background

- A degree in Computer Science or related discipline --OR-- Equivalent work experience
- Have 10+ years of experience in engineer & architecting automation framework for large scale applications (eg: e-commerce)
- Proven experience in requirements gathering techniques, use case definition, architecture diagramming, sequence diagrams, test planning/execution and system requirement analysis.
- Experience working AWS infrastructure
- Experience with Performance/Load Testing
- Have a can-do, do what needs to be done attitude
- Have the ability to shift priorities and work efficiently
- Fast learner with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work collaboratively and have good interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with attention to product quality

Desired Skills/ Background

- Experience working with an off-shore engineering team
- Expertise in Agile methods, software development lifecycle management, continuous integration, and build and release management
