Investments and Securities Operations (I&SO) Teams play a significant role within Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank. Our dynamic department is primarily located in Dublin, Jacksonville and Dallas and responsible for custody and servicing of client assets. Additionally, the department is responsible for collecting $12.7 Billion in revenue for Global Wealth & Investment Management.  Our teams are relied heavily upon for participation in projects and initiatives that help promote responsible growth for the business that supports our Clients. We focus on minimizing risk while promoting a positive Client experience. LOB Description:

The GWIM Sr. Team Operations manager has the primary responsibility of coordinating engagement with associates, managers and senior leadership for the oversight, organization, and execution of a broad range of functions, across Enterprise channels/legal entities, and regulated by various external regulatory agencies such as the Office of the Comptroller (OCC), FINRA, and the SEC. The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Merrill and Private Bank Client Billing teams while leading, coordinating and executing standing routines within the Managed Products Operations, Client and Institutional Billing department
  • Manage and reduce risk associated with the billing process while ensuring adherence to control metrics (SPI Controls, KRIs, SOC 1, etc.) and governance processes
  • Develop expertise in operational support for invoicing, fee collection and the various programs and products supported
  • Be the point of contact and coordinate engagement with internal and/or external audits
  • Assist the Operational Excellence Process Owner with deliverables and tasks to ensure compliance with CSWO directives
  • Be a strategic thinker who continually engages and supports process improvement across the Merrill and Private Bank Client Billing teams
  • Build strong business relationships with all relevant stakeholders including Private Bank and Investment Solutions Group product owners
  • Maintain quality assurance and oversight of the team’s procedures to ensure compliance with enterprise standards
  • Assist with business resiliency by developing strong recovery plans to prevent any disruptions and delays in key processes

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience relating to reconciliation, billing, project management or trading in an operational setting
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple job related duties efficiently while exercising sound judgment to ensure all quality measurements, deadlines and business objectives are met
  • Capability to think analytically and apply skill set to manage processes and initiatives
  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables for either daily processing and/or expanded strategic initiatives 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and explain workflow including systematic interfaces and the input/output flows of data processes
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • An understanding of technology and the ability to incorporate that understanding into how they related to risk and control of processes
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing and finding resolution to complex situations
  • Intellectually curious with a mindset focused on deep understanding of business processes supported

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Various Product Types (Mutual Funds, Alternative Investments, Managed Products, Retirement Products, etc.) within an operational setting
