Banking Finance Production Support Lead, Core Technology Infrastructure

Job Description:

The Banking Finance Production Support Lead provides end to end support for all Banking application within Bank of America. This position is for a hands on Application Support US team lead supporting the GCIB and Sales applications within the Wholesale Credit Banking business. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Hands on support(70%) and management activities (30%)
  • Leading the US team of 7 people
  • Managing and executing Incident and Problem management activities.
  • Working closely and attending management meeting with CIO and Business execs.
  • Proactively monitor and managing the production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application problems
  • Improve documentation of support policies and procedures
  • Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system
  • Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment.
  • Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.
  • Ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current.
  • Automate and build adhoc scripts as needed to address critical business needs
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques etc
  • Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems
  • Weekend or after hours work is required to support critical business initiatives such as application deployments, infrastructure changes, Industry-wide tests, or Disaster Recovery tests.

Required Job Skills:

  • Leading an application production support team for at least 3 yrs.
  • Hands on experience in Java / J2EE Development and Support
  • Hands on experience with Weblogic application servers, Portal, Web services and JQuery
  • Strong Database experience preferably Oracle and PL/SQL
  • Experience in UNIX and Windows servers
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 on call rotation

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in developing and supporting ASP.NET applications
  • Exposure with App Dynamics and Splunk
  • Knowledge in Angular
  • Knowledge in ITSM
  • Prior banking/finance experience of working with globally distributed teams
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree
