Software Engineer III, Risk Technology

Job Description:

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Job Description:

This role will serve as a developer for a single work stream or sub-component of a larger program Trade Surveillances.  Depending on the complexity of the work stream, role may be assigned to support more than one work stream or function.

The employee will be partnered with a line-of-business leader or other technology leaders depending on the work stream that has been assigned to. Trade Surveillance heavily utilize Actimize Risk Case Manager, Actimize Intelligent Server that runs on Data warehouse application built on Informatica, Oracle Exadata, UNIX shell scripts and AutoSys, requires highly skilled Actimize developer for to strategize, design, develop and automate surveillances process flow to support the business functions.

The candidate should have solid experience in Actimize Risk Case Manager/Designer, and Actimize Intelligent Server development for a very large data warehouse environment.  Good understanding of Actimize server components and impact analysis skill on those components are essential.  Integration knowledge to Oracle/Other RDBMS and AutoSys is very essential.

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver that actively engages with end users and offers solutions that improve and streamline processes.

Job Summary:

  • To be able to design, build and implement customized Actimize solution using Risk Case Manager, Actimize Visual Modeler, Actimize Designer, Oracle/PLSQL, AUTOSYS JIL and UNIX shell scale
  • Agile Development utilizing SCRUM and SDLC. Enjoy working on a diverse set of projects and working part of a fast paced team
  • Interface with various developers, scrum masters and analyst to prepare designs for new applications and documents all processes to ensure effective evaluation of all applications in JIRA
  • Ticket driven work environment with strict standards in JIRA
  • Analyze and ensure efficient transition of all technical design documents and develop various Actimize packages to provide support to all application developers

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of development experience in Actimize Risk Case Manager, Actimize Intelligent Server, Actimize Case Manager Designer, and Oracle/PL SQL
  • 3+ years of SQL experience and ability to develop Actimize repository queries
  • 10+ years of Actimize Risk Case Manager, Actimize Intelligent Server upgrade
  • 10+ years of Build and Release orchestration tools
  • Experience in data quality approaches and techniques
  • Excellent written and communication skills and ability to clearly indicate data integration solution designs and implementations
  • Agile experience
  • Financial Services / Banking experience
  • Experience in working with larger projects involving multiple groups including near shore and offshore teams
