Strategy Initiatives Manager - Merchant Services Credit and Transaction Risk Monitoring

Job Description:

The Merchant Services Credit and Transaction Risk Monitoring Team is responsible for delivering new account growth balanced with managing credit, operational, and fraud risks across the portfolio.  The team is aligned to three primary functions; Small Business Underwriting, Corporate Underwriting, and Transaction Risk Monitoring.  Additionally, the team includes internal functions with responsibility for Strategy & Analytics, Merchant Credit Policy, Business Control and Quality Assurance, and Business Enablement and Execution. 

The Strategy Initiatives Manager for Merchant Services Credit and Transaction Risk Monitoring is expected to drive strategic planning and target development, prioritize efforts and track progress/performance in support of the ongoing build efforts as they are driven by and /or impact the Credit and Transaction monitoring functions.  The incumbent is responsible for the management of the end to end life cycle including coordination around critical decision points, preparing evidence and speaking points, assisting in removing road blocks as specific initiatives and key updates to operating standards evolve (i.e. change to risk appetite,  product offerings, or key functionality within the program), and delivering executive presentations and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse set of stakeholders, quickly identify their needs and develop plans to support them.

This individual will play a critical role informing key decisions, anticipating and executing against key decision points, and ensuring full transparency around initiative driven metrics and progress.

Required Skills:

Deep understanding of Payment products, processes, and risks

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to execute in a fast paced and fluid environment

Background in strategic planning, project management, and/or process design

Proven ability to successfully navigate a large matrixed organization to source data and decisions critical to develop and execute against the strategic plan

Strong analytic and communication skills; proven ability to build a cohesive story in PowerPoint
