Job Title: Compliance and Operational Risk Specialist

The EMEA Technology Compliance and Operational Risk team is looking for an Information Technology Risk Officer to join their team, based in the Dublin office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 2nd line Compliance & Operational Risk coverage for our EU entities in addition to providing regional coverage for Information Security

Responsibilities:

  • Development of new testing activities with respect to key areas of focus in Technology

  • Conducting independent monitoring and targeted risk assessments

  • Independent review & challenge of legal entity Risk Self Assessments with respect to Technology Risk

  • Identification of material issues arising from Monitoring, Assessment & Testing activities

  • Periodic review of the firm’s policies relating to Technology and applicability to European entities

  • Review & challenge of the annual Technology scenario analyses

  • Keeping abreast of European regulatory developments impacting Technology, communication of changes and education provision to relevant staff on Technology regulatory developments; and

  • Effective assessment of new European legislation impacting Technology and interpretation of changes

  • In addition to day to day coverage activities the role will require working with the line of business on new initiatives including regulatory change implementation, and representing Compliance and Operational Risk on working / steering group forums providing effective review and challenge of potential regulatory and/or operational risk issues and ensuring remediation plans proposed by the line of business are effective

  • The successful candidate will be required to face off to senior leadership on a regular basis

The Team:

The EMEA Technology Compliance and Operational Risk Team is responsible for the second-line Compliance and Operational Risk coverage for the EMEA Technology and Information Security Divisions. The team operates in a technically complex, fast-changing and dynamic environment with an excellent culture of growth, learning and development. Core Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Logical thinker with excellent technical skills and experience in analysing large data sets

  • Ability to communicate results of analysis clearly and concisely to colleagues who may not have a data background

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a pressurised environment, with constantly changing priorities and tight deadlines

  • High attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
