Job Description:

Job Title: Production Support Analyst

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

Location: Dublin

Role Description:

Your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Track, fix and report all issues raised by users globally
  • Manage major incidents ensuring timely communications and working collaboratively with Technology partners to restore services
  • Work with Problem Management team to sure root cause determined and remediation actions identified and tracked to completion
  • Liaise with the development team with regards to required changes/upgrades to these applications across a large user base
  • Partner with Infrastructure teams to support the rollout of non-functional change 
  • Use SQL / Oracle to apply process throttling during peak periods and prioritise transactions
  • Maintain algorithms in ITRS making sure they conform to current alerting requirements
  • Use scripting language such as Unix, Python to automate repetitive production support tasks
  • Develop relationships with key business stakeholders

Core Skills:

  • Prior experience as a Global Production Support Lead
  • Technical experience in Microsoft SQL Server / Sybase / Oracle
  • Experience with monitoring Solutions  
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills with the willingness to see the investigation through to the end
  • Experience in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems
  • Excellent communicator who builds collaborative relationships with technical and non-technical partners
  • Must be able to identify problems in a timely manner, dig deep for root causes, and implement solutions that prevent future occurrences
  • A natural team player who enjoys working multiple development collaboratively with colleagues
  • Focused on delivery with a passion for quality and innovation
  • Passionate about technology and a strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced technical environment

Desired

  • Prior experience within a Financial Services related organisation
  • Technical experience supporting UNIX/LINUX,
  • ITIL qualification  
  • ITRS Geneos experience
