Role Description:

The role is to work as a business analysis / project manager within ETT and assist in the front to back analysis, design, testing, project management and implementation of associated projects and initiatives. The role will require working closely with the business users, development, other business analysts and support teams to assist in the delivery of enhancements.

This is very much a front to back role and will involve communication within all areas of the Bank including middle and back office functions.

The Team:

The Electronic Trading Technology (ETT) team support the Electronic Trading business in the Global Markets and Investment Banking Group. The team provides innovative solutions for low touch trading, which includes FIX connectivity, low latency market connectivity, smart order routing, algorithmic trading, DMA and internal crossing.

The Global ETT team supports an existing fully featured Electronic Trading product set and is also looking to build the next generation Electronic Trading platform. The next generation program is a sizeable investment in ensuring that the business is ready for handling higher volumes of market data and customer flow efficiently.

Core Skills:

Required:

  • Enthusiastic strong-minded person able to work closely with the BA, QA and development teams and help instil a responsible and professional culture.
  • Strong team communication with proven planning/organising skills.
  • Practical business analysis experience within an electronic trading environment in an investment banking or similar environment.
  • Practical project management experience in an investment banking experience.
  • Experienced and comfortable when dealing with business users to ensure requirements are accurate and practical.
  • Ability to work with tight, sometimes mandated, deadlines and function in what can be a high

Preferred

  • A good knowledge of the general front to back process including high touch, portfolio and client facilitation.
  • Practical, hands on experience with Agile
  • Experience of the front to back process including middle and back office functions.
  • Order management experience an advantage.
  • Experience of working with vendor systems like Bloomberg and any of the major stock exchanges.
  • UNIX scripting.
  • Knowledge in SQL programming skills.
