Assistant Vice President, Business Support Manager, Global Risk Management Organization

Your background

  • Strong analytical, and organizational skills; focus on attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically across GRM to identify opportunities to improve overall performance efficiency.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, produce appropriate changes and implement goals
  • Ability to develop comprehensive plans around key control priorities and ensure all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities
  • Strong partnership and relationship building skills with the ability to influence
  • Effectively and efficiently coordinates and drives execution of key control priorities across the broader GRM organization
  • Ability to track performance and analyze data/progress metrics to benchmark against short and long-term goals
  • Acts as trusted advisor to the broader GRM organization
  • Proven business operations and business controls experience
  • Working knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills in English (due to regular interactions with teammates and COOs globally).
  • Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations.
  • Regular APAC hours with meetings typical during evenings to partner with teammates in the US and UK

What you can expect

Assist in the execution of internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB or ECF. Execute LOB/ECF specific procedures to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards, including business continuity, access management, and data management.  Provide process expertise and consulting to all levels across the division.  Provide assistance with location strategies and local onboarding.  Identify issues and/or control improvements for remediation, whilst completing daily duties. Act as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have 5+ years of experience.

What you will do

  • Serves as the point person for GRM Business Controls to build and maintain Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Analysis, Vendor Exit Strategies, and other Business Continuity artifacts
  • Serves as the point person for GRM Business Controls to complete Business Continuity testing
  • Partners with COO organizations on the strategy and execution of planning and testing activity
  • Oversees the status of critical business controls metrics and processes including Risk and LOB owned issues, SIM/OpEx/ECoM process, providing plans and remediation as appropriate
  • Participates in audits as necessary
  • Assists with business controls activities in local APAC time zones to assist teammates located in the US facilitate communications and responses on any number of topics including but not limited to: Access Requests (SharePoint, Share Drives, Documentum Folders), Technology Projects, Alerts requiring responses, and attestations (data management, records management, NFRR, etc.)
  • Assist with space and onboarding concerns locally
