Feature Lead, Consumer Credit Assistance Technology

Seeking a strong Feature Lead Consumer Credit Assistance Technology professional, who will be part of the Consumer Credit Assistance (CCA) technology team  at Bank of America.

The Consumer Credit Assistance (CCA) technology team is on a quest to modernize the technology stack that our business uses to help our clients get back on their feet. We will support our clients and our teammates by creating an amazing experience for them.  We are investing significantly in technology to simplify the current landscape, automate complex business processes & digitizing our customers experience through innovation and creative problem solving.  As part of this journey, we need a dynamic, strategic, thought leader who will play an instrumental, transformative, and culture-changing role in defining and executing against a comprehensive strategy and a multi-generational roadmap transforming the UX and business processes currently supported by our Universal Collections & Recovery Platform (UCRS) into a Next Generation Workstation (NGW).  This includes responsibility for driving & leading a full-stack scrum team in partnership with business Product Owners & Managers as well as partnering closely technology teams inside and outside of CCA.  The leader must be knowledgeable of, and prepared to advance modern Agile software development practices while evangelizing great engineering and organizational practices.  The role must be comfortable interacting with and influencing people at all levels across the organization.  All candidates must be comfortable working in the "grey" and enjoy "digging in" to drive clarity on the problems we wish to solve. 

Responsibilities:

Building the Solution Right

  • Design, develop and be accountable for feature delivery.

  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.

  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.

  • Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level.

  • Act as a liaison for production activities/issues.

Work Planning and Execution

  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Guide the team on work breakdown and execution.

Team Mentorship

  • Play a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team.

  • Guide team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices).

  • Identify skill and role gaps, and work with Technology Manager to address them.

  • Work with Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required.

Required Skills (Technical / Business Domain / Managerial/ Soft skills)

  • Technology – Solid experience and an applied understanding of the following technologies

    • Angular 8+ (Type Script) & Angular Material

    • MVC & MVVM

    • .NET and C#

    • HTML, SCSS, ASP .NET Core, NPM 

    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

    • Web Services, Mule, REST API

    • WPF

    • .NET Core 

    • SQL Server 2012/2014+ TSQL

    • 5 + years of Object Oriented Design

    • MS Visio

  • Proven track record in leading & driving large complex technology transformations through completion

  • Provide technical leadership in a matrix organization of skilled architect, engineers, and business partners

  • Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of technology concepts and terminology, ability to review and critique functional specifications and architectural solutions, ability to discuss development issues, priorities and schedules with technology managers.

  • Ability to contribute to a team of engineers in cross-functional teams (including QA, Product Management, etc.)

  • Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and address problems to resolve issues in a way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization

  • Ability to translate business objectives into technology designs, calling out risks and/or compromises based on constraints. 

  • Expertise or familiarity with well-designed user interfaces

  • Understanding of complex environments, their sub-components, concepts, and interactions

  • Ability to work independently on initiatives & responsibilities with little oversight
